John Capodice, a veteran character actor known for his roles in Ace Ventura and General Hospital, died at the age of 83. The news was confirmed by the Pizzi Funeral Home in New Jersey, though no cause of death was disclosed.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1941, Capodice served in the US Army during the Korean conflict from 1964 to 1966. He transitioned to acting in the late 1970s, making his debut with a role in the ABC soap Ryan’s
