Alia Bhatt turns 25 today and she already has a surprise ready for us. Well, we’re talking about her look from her upcoming film, Raazi, which is out. And that’s not it. The Highway actress revealed that the trailer will be out in exactly 25 days from now, that is on April 9. To say that we’re excited is an understatement.

The film is an adaptation from the book Calling Sehmat, authored by, Harinder S Sikka. In the film, Alia plays the protagonist, who is a simple girl in the seventies living an extraordinary life. With the 1971 Indo-Pak war that led to the liberation of Bangladesh in the backdrop, Alia plays the role of a spy in the film who is sent to Pakistan to garner cross-border information.

This is definitely a role, the young actress has never tried her hands at before. However, we all know how Alia loves to take calculated risks–the reason why she is perhaps one of the most successful actresses in

B-Town today.

The birthday girl took to her social media accounts to share her look from the film. She shared a pic from the film and captioned it, “Movies or in this case MY movies aren’t just something I do for a living.. it’s kinda the reason I feel like I’m alive. SO…On my 25th birthday I’ve randomly picked out two images from the 25th DAY of shoot of RAAZI and and and the TRAILER will be out 25 days from today(9th April).. Happy Birthday to me.”

In the look that released today, Alia is seen wearing a burqa. This is definitely quite a transition from the fashionable diva we saw her as in her debut film, Student of the Year or even Shandar, which is proof of how far she has come. To have achieved so much at just 25 years of age is indeed a rare feat, but Alia has managed to do it and how. However, even in this unglamorous avatar, she manages to look as pretty as ever.
