Alia Bhatt strutted her stuff as she commanded the lavish catwalk baring her toned legs in Namrata Joshipura's creations at Amazon India Fashion Week.
The 24-year-old diva clearly was not looking to blend in when she threw on her "grungy" side while walking towards the shutterbugs to vaunt her glittery off-the-shoulder green jumpsuit, which had high front-cuts on the bottom.
The show presented by Maybelline, began with a unique concept as its entire theme was inspired by the streets of New York City and hence the runway was given somewhat similar touch to that of NYC's roads with additional EDM beats and 3D lighting.
Sporting a very dramatic and bold make-up look by Elton J Fernandez, Alia looked every inch a modish chic. The actress also ditched all kinds of accessories for the show and rather completed her look with black pencil heels and stick straight hair.Alia, who made a heart-stopping entry to the groovy music, said, "I'm feeling very comfortable in this. We really wanted to create some drama in that show and Namrata and I, we both were on the same page that what to do. I enjoyed a lot. It has been a while since I walked the ramp.
"I
feel very sexy in this (outfit). I feel very grungy and edgy. I really liked the dress and the whole vibe of the show. From music to the attitude and the subway thing they have created on stage, it was great."
Alia is popular among teens for her fresh and stylish fashion statements but the actress said she never plans it.
"My personal style statement (is actually) that I'm a very moody person. One day I can feel like wearing some particular thing so I wear it. Another day I can feel like grungy (so I'll wear that). (Like) Today, I'm feeling grungy and hence carrying it off."
The collection was a perfect combination of casual and funky clothes like shorts, cropped t-shirts, jumpsuits and bodysuits. As the show progressed, one side slit and off-the-shoulder maxi dresses in shades of black and red seemed to dominate the designer's line.
Talking about the collection, Namrata said, "It was a Maybelline New York show and that is why New York was the theme. We used very bright nice colours for the show. The fabrics were a lot of denim as we wanted to do street wear inspired collection and then we also used satin and chiffon.
