Alia Bhatt's Darlings is working wonders on Neftlix and how! The film, also starring Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah, has garnered a thunderous response from the critics and audience alike. After the success of Darlings, the makers of the film are all set to make the movie in two more languages - Tamil and Telugu. The film won't be dubbed in these regional languages. Instead, the makers would localise the story and characters in Tamil and Telugu.
Speaking to Pinkvilla, Red Chillies Entertainment's COO, Gaurav Verma,
confirmed the development. "We had the script of Darlings with us for a while now and through the journey of making it, we decided to make it in multiple languages. The film has a certain landscape which can be adapted very well in multiple languages. The process is on as we speak," said Gaurav.
The producer and COO added, "The story remains the same, but we will localize it. Darlings was a story set in Mumbai, but now, we will create a different world for Tamil and Telugu. We localise the characters and their reactions."
