AR Rahman’S son AR Ameen narrowly escaped an accident on a shooting set when chandeliers came crashing down on the stage where the young singer was performing. Ameen took to Instagram and shared two pictures from the set along with a note detailing the incident and thanking the almighty for saving his life.
AR Ameen who started his career as a playback singer with OK Kanmani, went on to make a name in the industry with his voice in films like Sachin: A Billion Dreams, 2.0 and more, the music of all of which was composed by AR Rahman. Recently, while shooting for a song, the young talented singer mentioned how he narrowly escaped from a major accident at a song shoot where chandeliers got suspended from the crane.
The singer took to
Instagram and penned a note where he mentioned how he was relaxed with the thought that his team would have taken care of the engineering and safety. “I am thankful to the Almighty, my parents, family, well-wishers, and my spiritual teacher that I am safe and alive today. Just three nights ago, I was shooting for a song and I trusted the team to have taken care of the engineering and safety, while I was focusing on performing in front of the camera. The whole truss and chandeliers that were suspended from a crane came crashing down while I was right in the middle of the spot. If it were a few inches here and there, a few seconds earlier or later, the whole rig would have fallen on our heads. My team and I are shell-shocked and unable to recover from the trauma (sic)” Ameen wrote.
