SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 has broken all the records and has become the first Indian movie to reach Rs 1000 crore club at the worldwide box office. The film has not only set the benchmark high for the Indian filmmakers but has also redefined Indian cinema completely.
Not only this, Baahubali 2 has also become the first Indian film to cross Rs 100 crore mark in North America. A sequel to Baahubali: The Beginning, it was one of the most-awaited films of this year and undoubtedly was worth the wait. In fact, the Hindi version of the film has also entered Rs 300 crore club.
The film has done a business of approx Rs 800 crore in India and around Rs 200 crore
overseas, minting a total of Rs 1000 crore so far. This is a very big achievement for an Indian film to reach such heights and people are going gaga about it. Not only this, trade analyst Taran Adarsh declared Baahubali 2 as the ‘Jewel of Indian cinema’ and tweeted:
