'Bigg Boss is scripted', several contestants take ‘psychiatric help’ after show: Apurva Agnihotri

It was in Season 7 of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss, that the audience saw TV couple Apurva and Shilpa Agnihotri. The couple had conducted themselves with dignity inside the now. Now, in a new vlog, they have revealed the dark side of the show. From Apurva calling the show ‘scripted’ and claiming that several of his friends had been depressed post it, to Shilpa revealing that her husband lost out on a show because of Bigg Boss- they have made some shocking statements.

In their recent vlog, Apurva and Shilpa Agnihotri were discussing the reality show, Bigg Boss. The two had participated in the seventh season of the show as a couple. Talking about whether it is scripted, Shilpa said, "Bigg Boss is not scripted but everyone is aware and knows that if I want to be the ‘THE’ person then what is needed to be done. They have prerequisites – react karo, content do, fight, give your point of view, be assertive. If the personality is not like that, then what to do.”

However, Apurva disagreed and also



hinted why Priyanka Chahar Chaudhary was not the winner of Bigg Boss 16. He said, “It is scripted. The channel knows who will react and how. And that’s why people have started predicting in recent seasons. And the makers, at the end, kind of forcefully have to turn the tables and surprise all with the winner name. We saw it in the recent season too else everyone would have said, ‘She (Priyanka Chahar Choudhary?) is channel's face, so she became the winner’. So the show is scripted to a certain extent.”

Apurva also added that several contestants are mentally affected after the show gets over. He said, “Honestly, I wasn’t very kicked about it. I had the feeling that whatever name, fame and respect you have earned in your life, can be washed away in a snap. And it has happened with people. I know many friends, who after the show went through severe depression and took psychiatric help. No matter how thick-skinned or confident you are, it is difficult to digest all the trolling and negative comments that people talk about you outside the show.”
