This year, India celebrated its 74th Republic Day. The occasion marks the adoption of the Constitution of India and the transition of India's governance from British monarchy to democracy. People celebrated this day by watching the parade held at the Rajpath in New Delhi. This year, grand celebrations were organised at Kartavya Path. Public places were decorated with tricolour. Bollywood celebrities extended wishes on the occasion.
Shah Rukh Khan quoted dialogue from his film Pathaan to wish his fans on Republic Day. "Desh ke liye kya kar sakte ho…Happy Republic Day to everyone. May we cherish all that our Constitution has given us & take our country to greater heights. Jai Hind (sic)," he wrote on Twitter.
Salman Khan wished the fans on the occasion of Republic Day 2023. He also makes a cameo appearance in Pathaan.
