Bollywood celebrities lined up to share heart-warming tributes for designer Rohit Bal after he died on Friday, November 1, due to a heart ailment. The designer was 63 when he breathed his last. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Aditi Rao Hydari, among other celebrities remembered the ace designer for his impeccable style and craft.

Sharing a fitting tribute on Instagram, Ananya posted a picture of herself walking the ramp as a showstopper for Bal, and wrote, "Gudda, Om Shanti" while adding a heart emoji, and folded hands emoji. Kareena shared the designer's picture from his young days when he would also work as a model, and added heart emojis on the post. Aditi's caption on the post that she shared read, "Rest in style, Rest in beauty".

Actor Sidharth Malhotra paid tribute to Rohit Bal on Instagram. He wrote, "Deeply saddened by the loss. May his soul rest in peace. Om Shanti."

Sonam addressed Rohit as 'Gudda', as



he was popularly called, and wrote a big note on her Instagram stories. She also mentioned being coincidentally wearing one of the designer's creations today as part of her Diwali festivities.

Her note read, "Dear gudda, I hear about your passing on my way to celebrate Diwali in your gorgeous creation that you generously lent to me for the second time. I've been blessed to have known you and worn you and walked for you multiple times. I hope you are at peace. Always your biggest fan (sic)."

The statement read, "We mourn the passing of legendary designer Rohit Bal. He was a founding member of the Fasion Design Council of India (FDCI). Known for his unique blend of traditional patterns with modern sensibilities, Bal's work redefined Indian fashion and inspired generations (sic)."

The post further added, "His legacy of artistry, and innovation along with forward-thinking will live on in the fashion world. Rest in peace GUDDA (sic)."
