Actors and entertainment crew above 65 years can now participate in shoots. The Bombay High Court has quashed Maharashtra government's orders barring senior citizens from outdoor shoots and studios. Earlier, the Bombay High Court had asked Maharashtra government to explain the logic behind not allowing actors above the age of 65 to shoot for films. The HC was hearing a petition filed by actor

Pramod Pandey on July 21.

The Maharashtra government allowed for the resumption of film and television shoots but had barred crew members below the age of 10 and above the age of 65 years from appearing on the sets in the wake of the novel coronavirus pandemic. This had caused a huge challenge for the senior crew members, who were the sole earning members of their family.
