Brahmastra 2 will be ready in a couple of years, confirms Ayan Mukerji

Brahmastra opened in theatres in 2022 and emerged as a commercial success. The film featured Ranbir Kapoor in the lead and proved to be a gamechanger for him. Its sequel is in the works and many are curious to learn more about it.

In a new interview, Ayan Mukerji has shared an update about Brahmastra 2. He said that it will out in theatres earlier than expected. Brahmastra is an action-adventure drama, produced by Karan Johar.

Ayan Mukerji has revealed that Brahmastra 2 will be ready for release in the next couple of months. He further added that he won't make the audience wait too long as it may dilute the interest in the brand.

"We’re at it. [It will



take] a couple of years. And that’s one hundred per cent better than ten years. If we take another ten years, nobody will come to watch Brahmastra 2. We’re going to get it ready much before that,” Ayan said.

It has been rumored that Hrithik Roshan or Ranveer Singh will headline Brahmastra 2. Ayan, however, makes it clear that nothing is set in stone.

“There’s no answer for this question yet. We’ll have to wait," added Ayan.

Brahmastra featured Ranbir in the role of a simpleton who shares a special bond with fire. The cast included Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan. Brahmastra 2 is expected to be bigger and better than the first part.
