The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned filmmaker Sandeep Ssingh in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case on Saturday evening.
After Sandeep Ssingh's questioning ended, he was seen leaving the DRDO office in Mumbai while his face was covered with a black cloth.
A CBI team has been camping in Mumbai since August 20 to probe the case, which was earlier being handled by the Mumbai police. The case is also being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), as well as Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
Earlier, call records accessed have revealed that Sandip Ssingh, who claims to be a close friend of Sushant Singh Rajput, didn't call the deceased actor for the
last one year.
Right after Sushant Singh Rajput's death on June 14 Sandip Ssingh, the producer of a biopic on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had the limelight on him. The filmmaker was seen directing the police at Sushant's house, he performed formalities at the Cooper hospital, where Sushant's post-mortem was done. He also sat in the ambulance, making his presence felt in the late actor's final journey. Sandeep talked to the media and told them about his close friendship with Sushant.
After Sushant's death, Sandip Ssingh shared a poster of his film Vande Bharatam, which was to star Sushant in the lead role. The filmmaker has now decided to complete the film and release it in Sushant's memory.
