Comedian Samay Raina on Thursday night announced that he would be rescheduling his India tour. He shared a short note in his Instagram stories and added a folded hands-emoticon at the end of it. Raina's post came weeks after he received a backlash for podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia's inappropriate comments on his YouTube comedy show, 'India's Got Latent'.
"Hello guys, I am rescheduling my India tour. You all will get the refunds shortly, see you soon (sic)," he wrote. The 27-year-old has
been in Canada for a comedy tour. However, he was scheduled to perform in Delhi and other cities as part of a tour beginning later this month.
Earlier this month, the Supreme Court heard a petition filed by Allahbadia in the case, and mentioned Raina joking about the controversy during his live show in Canada. Justice Surya Kant, while hearing the petition, remarked that youngsters today think of them as an 'outdated generation'. He didn't take Raina's name, but talked about his Canada show.
