Superstar Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is now making headlines after the crew members allegedly attacked two photojournalists. The journalists apparently asked the crew members as to why the film unit had blocked a road in Thiruvallikeni or Triplicane, a place nearby Chennai. They even questioned the unit if they had prior permission to shoot during the day.
Well, if reports are to go by, Rajinikanth was not present at the sets while the incident took place. According to a leading daily, a complaint has been registered against the film's production manager, a bouncer, and the director S Shankar's nephew.
The Chennai police are currently looking into the matter and will soon be filing a FIR. A senior officer was quoted saying, "We are investigating. We would make arrests if it
warrants."
The film is currently in the post-production stage with a few scenes left to be shot. The director had earlier said that a song and some patchwork shots were pending. 2.0 is a sequel to the 2010 sci-fi blockbuster Enthiran.
Akshay Kumar will be seen making his Tamil debut with the movie and will play an antagaonist - a scientist named Dr Richard of monstrous appearance, transformed after an experiment goes horribly wrong.
The movie also features actress Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in a pivotal role.
Maestro A R Rahman has provided the soundtrack for the movie. The first look of the film was unveiled last year and it was intriguing as hell. The movie is expected to release later this year in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language.
