The team of Adipurush has landed in troubled waters. A case has been filed against the makers of Prabhas and Kriti Sanon's Adipurush. The complaint has been lodged at Sakinaka police station against the film producer, artist and the director.
The complaint is filed by Sanjay Dinanath Tiwari through Mumbai High Court Advocates - Ashish Rai and Pankaj Mishra. The complainant described himself as a preacher of Sanatan Dharma.
As per the official statement, complaint states that the religious sentiments of the Hindu religion society have been hurt by the filmmaker by inappropriately displaying the character of the Hindi religious text Ramcharitmanas in the new release poster of the film. This complaint has been lodged with the demand for registration of FIR under Section 295 (A), 298, 500, 34 of the
Indian Penal Code.
As per the complaint, Adipurush has been made on the biography of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram from the Hindu religion holy book Ramcharitmanas. The holy book Ramcharitmanas holds an importance in Hinduism and Sanatani Dharma has been following this holy book Ramcharitmanas for many ages.
As per the complainant, the poster shows Maryadapurushottam Lord Shri Ram in a costume contrary to the natural spirit and nature of Ramcharitmanas mentioned in the Hindu scripture.
The complainant further claimed that in the film Adipurush, all the characters of Ramayana have been displayed without wearing Janeu. Janeu has special importance in Hindu Sanatani Dharma, which has been followed for many centuries by the followers of Sanatan Dharma on the basis of Puranas.
