25 years ago, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge weaved magic on screen. 25 years later, DDLJ is all set to cast a spell again on the big screen. The Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol-starrer is set to re-release worldwide in about 18 countries to mark 25 years of the cult romantic drama. of course, with a milestone like that, nothing less will do.

DDLJ will be re-released across Germany, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, USA, UK, Canada, Mauritius, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia and Finland to begin with. Does it end there? Perhaps not. The list may soon include more countries, but as of now, DDLJ fans in these 18 countries will be super happy.

Confirming the news, Nelson D’Souza, Associate Vice President, International Distribution, said, “DDLJ is a film that made people fall in love and has constantly won hearts whenever it



has been screened across the world. On its special 25th anniversary, we are very happy to announce that we are re-releasing DDLJ so that audiences can celebrate this cult classic. Audiences all over the world will get a chance to watch the film once again on the big screen as we are planning the re-release in several key diaspora and non-diaspora global markets.”

And on the occasion, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol changed their social media profile names to Raj and Simran, respectively. In addition, sharing a video clip from DDLJ with the song Tujhe Dekha Toh Ye Jana Sanam playing in the background, Kajol tweeted, "Raj & Simran! 2 people, 1 film, 25 years and the love doesn't stop coming in! I am truly grateful to all the people who made it what it is today.. a phenomenon and a part of their own history. The fans! Big shoutout to all of you. #25YearsOfDDLJ @yrf @iamsrk #AdityaChopra (sic).”
