Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to impress fans again on the big screen in the upcoming film, King. Reportedly, Padukone is expected to play a cameo in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action thriller King.

As per a report by PeepingMoon, the Piku actor has been cast in an extended cameo in the film. She is believed to play Suhana Khan’s mother.
This follows closely on the heels of Deepika playing SRK’s mother in Atlee’s Jawan (2023) and Ranbir Kapoor’s in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva (2022). She also played the mother of Kalki, the pivotal character in the Prabhas-starrer Kalki 2898 AD (2024).

“Her character is integral

to the plot and serves as the primary conflict in the storyline,” the report revealed. “Both Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand were keen on casting Deepika for this special character, and she enthusiastically accepted the offer despite it not being a full-fledged lead role,” the report added.

King marks the sixth collaboration between SRK and Padukone and their third in a row following Pathaan, and Jawan. The duo is also rumoured to reunite again in 2026 for YRF’s Pathaan 2.

The film also features Munjya fame Abhay Verma in an important role. The shoot of the film is expected to begin in May-June this year, and it will be released next year.
