The first season of India's Laughter Champion concluded on Saturday, August 27. The winner of the first season of the show is Rajat Sood. The comedian from Delhi was competing against Mumbai's Nitesh Shetty, Vighnesh Pande and Jayvijay Sachan and, Himanshu Bawandar from Ujjain, who were also in the finals.
Rajat Sood took home the trophy along with the prize money of Rs 25 lakh.
He is also known as Pomedy King because of his signature standup comedy style which is 'Pomedy', where infuses poetry and comedy together in a beautiful mashup.
Rajat is not just a comedian but he is also poet, writer and songwriter, among others. Before winning India's Laughter Champion, he appeared on Doordarshan's Sau Karod Ka Kavi in 2021. He was one of the finalists on the show.
