The Juhu bungalow of late actor Dev Anand, his residence for many years with his family, has been sold for an estimated Rs 350-400 crores to a real estate company. The house, situated in a prestigious area among the bungalows of influential industrialists in the neighborhood, is up for sale due to a lack of caretakers.
According to an exclusive source, Dev Anand's Juhu home of 40 years has been sold. The actor resided in that property with his wife Kalpana Kartik and children Suniel Anand and Devina Anand.
The property, located
in a prime residential area housing notable industrialists, will be replaced by a 22-floor tower. Famous actors Madhuri Dixit Nene and Dimple Kapadia once resided in the neighbouring apartments.
The decision to sell was made due to the absence of a caretaker, with Suniel residing in the US and Devina living in Ooty with their mother. Additionally, a previous property in Panvel, Maharashtra was sold for similar reasons. The funds from the sale of Anand's studio a decade ago were used to purchase three apartments for Suniel, Devina, and Kalpana respectively.
