Dhanush shares poster of Ilaiyaraaja biopic on his 81st birthday

Dhanush's upcoming project, 'Ilaiyaraaja', is one of the most highly anticipated films in the Tamil industry. Since its official announcement on March 20, 2024, the biopic has generated significant buzz. In celebration of Ilaiyaraaja’s 81st birthday on June 2, Dhanush treated fans to another glimpse of the biopic. Dhanush dropped the second poster of Ilaiyaraaja’s biopic to mark the special occasion.

Early on June 2, he posted a vibrant image on his social media platform X, with the caption,



“Happy birthday to the one and only @ilaiyaraaja sir.” The poster depicts Dhanush standing before a large crowd, accompanied by his harmonium and band.

The film's official creators also shared the same poster on their X platform, captioning it, “Birthday wishes to the man who stole our hearts with his music. The one and only, Maestro @ilaiyaraaja sir. Heartfelt wishes from the team of #IlaiyaraajaBiopic (sic)."

So far, Dhanush is the only confirmed lead in the film.
