On Thursday, September 15, Sun Pictures shared the video to pique the curiosity of those fond of his work. It features him in two distinct avatars. Naane Varuven is a Tamil drama, written and directed by Selvaraghavan. It is produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu under the V Creations

It features Dhanush as two different characters. The one introduced first appears to be a soft-natured simpleton. The other one appears to be an intense person with a mean streak. Going by the teaser, Dhanush is playing the hero and the villain in Naane Varuven. Interestingly, the teaser's background music too is quite haunting.
