Acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan has finished shooting for his forthcoming comedy film, Hungama 2, which is a successor to his 2003 hit, Hungama.
Hungama 2 will have an ensemble cast headlined by actors like Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty, Meezaan Jafri and Pranitha Subhash, among others.
Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter profile to share the news with the fans of the franchise. He wrote, "#HUNGAMA2 SHOOT OVER... Director #Priyadarshan's next venture #Hungama2 is complete... Stars #PareshRawal, #ShilpaShettyKundra,
#MeezaanJafri and #PranithaSubhash... Produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain and Armaan Ventures (sic)."
Priyadarshan acknowledged that it was more than challenging for him to come up with a more entertaining successor, especially after the love that the first film has continued to receive on the television over the years.
Producer Ratan Jain has claimed that the team's vision of turning the successor of Hungama into a wholesome comedy has been achieved dutifully and that the entire unit is happy with how the film has shaped up to be.
