‘Dunki’ to release on Christmas, confirms Shah Rukh Khan

2023 is definitely the year of Shah Rukh Khan. The superstar made his comeback after 2018 with ‘Pathaan’ in January this year. The film created several records, which were later broken by SRK himself with his latest release ‘Jawan’. But, there is another treat waiting for fans. The actor will round-up the year with ‘Dunki’, which will release on Christmas.

SRK’s last release, ‘Jawan’, is a massive success at the box office. Within a week, the film managed to collect Rs 700 crores worldwide. To celebrate the blockbuster, SRK, along with the entire team of ‘Jawan’, hosted a



success meet. It was during this event that King Khan confirmed that ‘Dunki’ will be released on Christmas this year.

Addressing the audience, SRK mentioned he brought out his film on national events – he celebrated Republic Day with 'Pathaan' and Janmashtami with 'Jawan'. Now, he will celebrate Christmas and New Year with 'Dunki'.

'Dunki' is backed by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. The film has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani and has Taapsee Pannu as the female lead. Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Taapsee, it will also star Boman Irani.
