Filmmaker Hansal Mehta begins filming for new series 'Gandhi'

Hansal Mehta has started filming his upcoming series. Titled 'Gandhi', this show will be based on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. On January 19, the makers of the show announced that the shoot has commenced.

Ramachandra Guha’s two books, 'Gandhi before India' and 'Gandhi: The Years that Changed the World'. The news was shared on Instagram with a series of pictures and the caption, "Capturing history in the making! #Gandhi filming now (sic)."

Pratik Gandhi has been cast as Mahatma Gandhi in the series, marking the third collaboration between the director and actor following 'Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story' and 'Baai'.
