The final schedule of Ajay Devgn-starrer Maidaan will begin from February 14 in Mumbai. The film will be shot continuously till April. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, the film is a sports drama based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who put Indian football on the global map.
The shooting of Maidaan began in 2019, however, due to the novel coronavirus it has to be halted. 65 per cent of the film’s
shoot has been completed, which was shot in Lucknow, Kolkata and Mumbai. The remaining portion will be shot in the last schedule in Mumbai's Powai. The shooting will begin on February 14.
Recently, Ajay Devgn announced the new release date of Maidaan with a new poster. It will hit theatres on October 15 this year. He wrote, "Maidaan now releases worldwide in theatres on Dussehra 2021. Shoot commences January 2021 (sic)."
