Singer and music composer Gurdas Maan is a celebrated name in the Punjabi music industry. In a recent conversation with India Today Digital, the artiste opened up about his music, plans on making a biopic and on his special connection with Punjabi sensation Diljit Dosanjh.

Speaking to us about his love for Diljit Dosanjh, Maan said, "Everyone knows my love for Diljit. He is a special person and someone who is extremely talented and loveable. I see the amount of respect he has for me in his eyes. The love he receives from his audiences is so lovely to watch. I would love for him to be a part of my biopic as well if that ever happens. I loved him in (Amar Singh) Chamkila. But having said that, I’m not someone who would self pitch my own biopic to anyone."

"If that organically happens

or someone comes to me with a story like that, then why not? What matters to me is the fact that I want to continue making good music and ensure that I give my fans what they expect out of me,” he added.

When asked about the kind of legacy the singer wishes to leave behind, he said, “For me, the most important thing other than my love for music has been the love of my fans. I am what I am today because people love me so much. Eventually, what matters is that people should remember your body of work because it’s this recall value and appreciation of your work which turns into the legacy you leave behind. Reminiscing how a particular artiste would sing or perform on stage and constantly feeling the need to experience that feeling is what I consider as leaving a legacy behind,” Gurdas Maan signed off.
