The second season of 'House of the Dragon', a 'Game of Thrones' spin-off, is set to premiere on HBO in early summer of 2024, as announced by HBO chief Casey Bloys at a New York press event. The first trailer of the upcoming season was also showcased at the event.
Based on George R R Martin's 'Fire & Blood', 'House of the Dragon' is a prequel to 'Game of Thrones' set 300 years prior to the original series. The second season of the superhit show will premiere in
the early summer of 2024, as said by Casey Bloys, HBO chief.
Casey Bloys shared the news during a New York press event where the sophomore chapter’s first trailer was also showcased, entertainment news outlet Variety reported.
Despite the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike and the ongoing actors strike by the SAG-AFTRA, the filming for the second season, which started on April 11 at Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios, remained unaffected.
