The much-anticipated film, 'Fighter', starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, has cinephiles on the edge of their seats. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is set to release on January 25, 2024. With a star-studded cast, compelling storyline, and high production value, there are just several factors that could influence its box office collection, trade experts said. Akshaye Rathi and Vishek Chauhan opened up about what the box office collection of ‘Fighter’ might look like.
Featuring A-list actors known for their box office prowess, 'Fighter' boasts a cast that can draw audiences solely based on their star power. Predicting a strong opening weekend is reasonable, given
the lead actors' track records.
The trade expert Akshaye Rathi said, "The advanced bookings started on the weekend before its release, which is standard practice, especially at a time when the entire country's attention was elsewhere (Ayodhya). So, it’s fairly okay to come a little late. But, having said that, this is a Siddharth Anand and Hrithik Roshan film. For me, they are India's answer to Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie; because whenever they ventured out, they made some great actions that pushed the envelope and were very entertaining. And ‘Fighter’ is a film about aerial combat, done at a size and scale that has never been seen in Hindi cinema. So (I am) very, very excited.”
