I was not afraid of playing a gay character: Fawad Khan

Fawad Khan also waited for his second Bollywood film for two years, even though his debut, Khoobsurat (2014), was a hit. And his patience has proven to be fruitful. Fawad’s latest release, Kapoor & Sons, is doing phenomenal business at the box office. Interestingly, he is also being praised for his character, who is homosexual in the film.

hopeful that the way people perceive homosexuality will change. “Even if someone plays a character like that, why will he or she become an outcast? Give it some years, and things will become normal. In the future, everyone who gets worried about these things (homosexuality) will learn to accept them. If someone is a certain way, he or she just is.”
