Im not replacing Priyanka in 'Jee Le Zaraa', says Anushka Sharma

It looks like ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ might soon be called a jinxed project. The audience had been excited about the film ever since it was announced. However, it has been delayed for the longest time possible. Recently, rumours had been rife that Priyanka Chopra has opted out of the project due to unavailability of her dates. Later, it was being reported that Anushka Sharma would be replacing her. However, now it looks like even that is not going to happen.

Anushka Sharma, who was said to be replacing Priyanka Chopra in ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, has now reportedly opted out of the film as well. A source, quoted by Bollywood Hungama, said, “Anushka was excited about the idea of a female-led journey of self-discovery, but the shooting timelines were not matching with her calendar. She



has to balance her personal life with her profession and allotting the number of days that Farhan asked for was not possible. There are a lot of combination dates with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, but it was not in line with her schedule.”

Earlier, there were also reports claiming that Katrina Kaif had walked out of the film following Priyanka Chopra's exit. However, an industry insider clarified that these reports were baseless. It was said that Katrina has a close bond with Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar after their previous collaboration in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that she would leave the project without a concrete reason. Currently, Katrina Kaif remains part of the leading cast, and concerns about the film being shelved are irrelevant.
