Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, was announced on Pongal

The makers of Jailer 2 made an official announcement of the film on the occasion of Pongal with a special promo featuring director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Starring Rajinikanth in the lead, it is the second part of the superstar's successful film which was released in 2023.

Jailer 2 has been in the works for some time, and on Tuesday, January 14, the film's team released a grand promo online. The fans celebrated the announcement and appreciated the director for doing justice to Rajinikanth's superstardom and screen presence.

The director expressed his gratitude to Rajinikanth and announced the film on X with a caption that read, "Immensely happy to

The promo features Nelson and Anirudh discussing a new script. As the two take a break from the conversation, they are swarmed with random men being shot by bullets. It is slowly revealed that the mighty Rajinikanth is back to kill the goons and establish his rule once again. We see the superstar wearing a blood-soaked white shirt as he carries a gun in one hand, and a sword in the other. There's both rage and pride in his eyes, and fans are treated to the look that made them go crazy in Jailer.
