Jennifer Lopez seeks name change after filing for divorce from Ben Affleck: Report

Singer-actor Jennifer Lopez has reportedly requested that her former name be restored after filing for divorce from Hollywood star Ben Affleck, Billboard reported.

In the court documents obtained from the court, the singer has also filed for a name change, requesting the court to restore her former name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez. She had officially changed her name to Jennifer Lynn Affleck after getting married to Affleck two years ago in an intimate wedding.

Jennifer also wants their property to be separated, "The exact nature and extent of separate property assets and obligations are unknown to Petitioner at this time. Petitioner reserves the right to amend this Petition when same is ascertained," the People report mentioned.

According to various US media reports, Jennifer filed for divorce on their second anniversary, August 20, and mentioned April 26, 2024 as the date of their separation.
