Kabir Khan denies Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in Tubelight

Filmmaker Kabir Khan tells reports saying that superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be seen making a cameo in ‘Tubelight’ are merely rumours.There were reports that the ‘Fan’ actor was approached for a special appearance in the film which stars Salman in the lead.

When asked about this, Kabir told, “When I’ll get to know I’ll let you know… But for now, all these are just rumours.”‘Tubelight’ marks the third collaboration of the actor-director duo, who have previously worked on blockbuster ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Ek Tha Tiger’.

“Tubelight” also stars Chinese actress Zhu Zhu. The movie will hit the theaters on Eid in the year 2017. Kabir was speaking at the launch of Vivo V5



smartphone.The director, who has helmed movies that have a strong political background, also spoke about the recent demonetisation move of the government.

When asked if the move is affecting film business, especially the recently released ‘Rock On 2’, he said, “I think it is affecting daily life, going to a film is part of daily life. The fact that there are less notes available in the market, people are not able to get their hands on 100, 500 rupee notes so it is definitely a problem.

“Jiskay paas thoda bohot hai woh film ticket pe nahi kharchana chah rahe hai. They want to cover essential things first (those who have some money, don’t want to spend on movie tickets).”
