Kangana Ranaut's upcoming film Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi has been synonymous with controversies since its inception. From director Ketan Mehta accusing Kangana of hijacking his dream project to the actress's fallout with co-actor Sonu Sood, then taking over the reins from director Krish, various controversies have surrounded the film over the past few months.
And it seems that the pattern isn't going to break any time soon. It is reported that Hindu outfit Karni Sena has raised issues on the film. It is said that Karni Sena is objecting to a scene where the Queen of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai had an affair with a British officer. They are also objecting to a scene where the queen is seen dancing.
The film is among Kangana's dearest
projects as the actress is also making her directorial debut with it. Talking to an entertainment website about the latest controversy, the actress made it clear that she isn't scared and will not go down without a fight.
Kangana said, "Four historians have certified Manikarnika, we have got censor certificate as well, Karni Sena has been conveyed this but they are continuing to harass me. If they don't stop, then they should know I am also a Rajput and I will destroy each one of them." The film has been cleared by CBFC.
Manikarnika, the biopic of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, is all set to hit the screens on January 25, targeting the Republic Day weekend. Kangana recently launched the second song of the film Bharat at an event in Gurgaon.
