After playing a double role in Tanu Weds Manu Returns, Kangana Ranaut might play a triple role in the third film of the franchise. If reports are to be believed, then director Aanand L Rai' Tanu Weds Manu 3 would have a triple role for Ranaut.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, Ranaut has been offered a triple role for the film opposite R Madhavan. A source close to the project told the portal, “Kangana is excited to explore the first triple role of her career, and is awaiting a complete narration from Aanand L Rai. The film will give her the opportunity to dive into new shades of a performer.”
This comes as a surprise, especially since Kangana Ranaut had earlier said that she was considering bidding
goodbye to her Bollywood career if her political career took off.
The same source also spoke about the film and added, “It’s a sequel in a true sense and the makers have come across a story that organically leads itself to a trilogy. Staying true to the world of part one and two, the third instalment, too, will be a blend of humour with romance and drama. The basic idea is locked by Aanand L Rai and the intent is to take the film on floors in the second half of 2025.”
Aanand L Rai is currently busy with Tere Ishk Mein, where he is reuniting with Dhanush. Kangana, meanwhile, is awaiting a censor board certificate for her upcoming film Emergency, where she will play former prime minister Indira Gandhi.
