Kannada Actor Chandrashekhar Passes Away In Canada

Kannada actor Edekallu Chandrashekhar passed away after a heart attack early Saturday morning in Canada. He is survived by his mother, wife Sheela and daughter Tanya.

Chandrashekhar made his debut as a child actor in 1969 in the film Namma Makkalu. While he continued to act as a child artiste, his debut as a



lead hero was under filmmaker Putanna Kangal in the film titled Edakallu Guddada Mele in 1973. The film was so successful that Edakallu became stuck as his first name.

Chandrashekhar’s other successful films included Sampathige Saval, Hamsageethe, Raja Nanna Raja , Maagiya Kanasu and Shankar Guru .
