Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has cancelled her promotional event scheduled for tomorrow, September 12, in Mumbai, following the untimely death of her friend Malaika Arora's father, Anil Mehta.

Malaika's father, Anil Mehta, died by suicide after jumping off a building terrace on Wednesday, September 11, according to police reports. Kareena Kapoor, accompanied by her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan, visited Malaika's family home at Ayesha Manor, where the incident occurred, to offer their condolences.

friends with Malaika Arora and her sister Amrita Arora for many years. They often party together, and Kareena's sister Karisma is also part of their close-knit group.

Kareena was set to be a special guest at an event at Lido Cinemas on Juhu Tara Road in Mumbai on September 12. However, the event has now been postponed.

Kareena Kapoor is also looking forward to the release of her film Buckingham Murders, directed by Hansal Mehta. The film features Ranveer Brar, Rukku Nahar, and Ash Tandon. It is set to hit cinemas on September 13.
