Actor Kichcha Sudeep is one of Kannada cinema's most celebrated names. He is loved by his ardent fans because of his striking screen presence and remarkable range as a performer. The star recently received a threat letter. The sender threatened to leak his private videos on social media.
"We have registered an FIR 79/23 is the crime number under sections 505, 506 and 120B of IPC. A person by the name Manju has filed a complaint stating that a letter was received at actor Sudeep’s home. Contents of the letter carried a threatening message. This has come from an anonymous person. We have registered the FIR and we will investigate this further,"said Krishnakant, DCP
South.
"It’s a threat to life. The language of the letter didn’t seem proper. We have accordingly filed the case under respective sections. We will investigate this," the DCP said, adding that the letter came by post and there was no sender’s address.
The Vikrant Rona star reacted to the development and said that it was sent to him by someone from the industry.
"Yes, I have received a threat letter and I know who sent it to me. I know who the letter is from. It is from someone in the film industry. I will give a befitting reply to them. I will work in favour of those who stand by my side in my tough times," he told the media in Bengaluru on Wednesday, April 5.
