Actor John Abraham shared a message for boys in the country after the Kolkata doctor rape-murder case. The actor appeared on a radio channel and warned men against behaving inappropriately towards women. He mentioned that he had no suggestions for women, but men need to learn better.

The 'Vedaa' actor was speaking to Radio City when he was asked to comment on the rape and murder of a Kolkata doctor that took place earlier this month. John said the incident only highlighted how we have failed to raise good men. While advising the young people, he said, "I'll tell the boys to behave, otherwise I’ll tear them apart." He laughed, and then added, "Honestly, I just expect a better

upbringing, on a serious note."

John added, "And I wouldn’t tell girls anything, because unki kya galti hai [what is their fault]? I think parents have to tell boys to behave. More power to the girls."

In another interview earlier this month, the actor talked about being a real patriot at heart. He said he believes in the idea of a man being a protector. "Women, children and animals are not safe in India. It is sad. Indian men need to understand how to treat their women. Yeh bohot important hai. Har aurat ke liye, ek aadmi ko ek rakshak hona chahiye [It's very important for Indian men to learn how to treat women. They need to be protectors]," John explained.
