National Award-winning film director Madhur Bhandarkar has announced the star cast and unveiled the first-look poster of his next motion picture, India Lockdown.
The film is said to be inspired by true events of the Covid-19 situation that is prevailing in the world and which led to the lockdown within the country. India Lockdown stars Prateik Babbar, Aahana Kumra, Sai Tamhankar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Prakash Belawadi, Zarin Shihab and Ayeesha Aimen, among others.
Sharing the news of his upcoming feature on Twitter, Bhandarkar wrote,
"Film India Lockdown is all set to go on floor next week. Here's a teaser poster. Give your love (sic)."
Madhur Bhandarkar has a knack for constructing hard-hitting scripts that are based on real-life events. Of late, Bhandarkar seems to have been moved by the coronavirus pandemic that put the Indian economy at an unprecedented standstill and led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people across the globe.
Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared the first look poster of Bhandarkar's next on his social media profile.
