Malayalam TV actor Dileep Sankar was found dead in a hotel room in Thiruvananthapuram. The actor was in the city for the shoot of an ongoing serial. According to the makers, he last visited the set two days ago.

As per the makers, there was a break in the shoot, and Dileep was staying at the hotel to rejoin the set afterward. His colleagues mentioned that he had been dealing with certain health issues. The police have started an investigation.

The hotel staff discovered his body after a foul smell came from the room.
