Nagarjuna said that he cancelled his Maldives holiday because he believes it is 'not healthy'. In an interview, promoting his latest screen outing 'Naa Saami Ranga', Nagarjuna and MM Keeravaani also gave a shoutout to Lakshadweep's Bangaram Islands.
Tollywood superstar Nagarjuna recently shared that he was planning to go to the Maldives for a vacation with his family post the release of 'Naa Saami Ranga'. However, following the Maldives-Lakshadweep row, he cancelled the tickets and plans to visit the Bangaram Islands instead.
In a chat with Indian lyricist Chandrabose and songwriter MM Keeravaani, Nagarjuna said he was supposed to leave for the Maldives on January 17. "I was working for 75 days
for Big Boss and 'Naa Saami Ranga' without a break. Now, I have cancelled my tickets, and I am looking to going to Lakshadweep next week", he said.
Nagarjuna explained, "Did not cancel it because of fear or anything. I cancelled the tickets because it is not healthy. Whatever they have said or the statements they have made were not healthy at all, and it's not right, and he is our Prime Minister. He is leading 1.5 billion people. He is the leader of 1.5 billion people and whatever they treated is not right." He added, "They are facing the repercussions. For every action there is a reaction." He praised the scenic beauty of the popular Bangaram Islands in Lakshwadeep and jokingly suggested MM Keeravani to plan a trip.
