Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2 trailer out

After the success of Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 1, the makers are yet back with the much-awaited sequel. The film which ruled the box office last year is all set to enthrall the fans with the trailer of the much anticipated second installment of the film. After keeping fans on their toes for a long, finally, the makers released the trailer of Ponniyin Selvan 2 and it is sure to bring flashes of the first part.

The team of Ponniyin Selvan 2 unveiled the trailer at a mega event in Chennai. Followed by the trailer, the music launch also took place. The event was attended by various members of the cast, including Aishwarya. Kamal Haasan was also in attendance as he graced the event as



the special guest. Ponniyin Selvan 2 will have actors Jayam Ravi, Karthi and Trisha Krishnan, besides Aishwarya and Vikram.

Much like the teaser, the trailer was high on grandeur and impeccable acting skills by the ensemble star cast. Aishwarya, with her mettle, just bought her character as beautiful Queen Nandhini to life.

The second installment of Ponniyin Selvan is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel of the same name. It will take off from the conclusion of the first movie, where the viewers saw Ponniyin Selvan facing his death, as Aishwarya Rai’s Oomai Rani jumps into the sea to save him. The film is bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
