The shooting of several films had to be stopped due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and this has delayed the release date of some of the most-awaited films. The release date of Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra has also been postponed but the cast is back on the sets and they are shooting for the remaining parts of the film. Nagarjuna Akkineni, who plays an important part in the film, finished shooting for Brahmastra and bade adieu to the team with a note on social media. Alia Bhatt also revealed in a post on Tuesday that they are nearing the end of
the shoot.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Brahmastra is a three-part fantasy trilogy. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will be seen in the lead roles. Ranbir is playing a man with superpowers named Shiva, while Alia’s character is called Isha.
Apart from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Mouni Roy and Dimple Kapadia. It had been earlier reported that Mouni will be playing the role of the main villain in the film. The character details of other actors have been kept under the wraps.
