Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt, starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, was slated to release in India on December 30. However, according to the latest reports, desi fans will have to wait a little longer to catch the film as the India release of The Legend of Maula Jatt has now been postponed indefinitely.
Latest reports suggest that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Monday, December 27, recalled the India release of the Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan starrer.
“Zee Studios had already
acquired a clearance for The Legend Of Maula Jatt from the Central Board of Film Certification. But on Monday the CBFC recalled the film,” a source close to the development was quoted as saying.
The action drama, which released in Pakistan on October 13, is now the highest-grossing Pakistani film of all time. It has raked in USD 10 million worldwide.
Fans in India were eagerly looking forward to catching The Legend of Maula Jatt in theatres. Directed by Bilal Lashari, it is an adaptation of the 1979 cult classic Maula Jatt.
