Parineeti Chopra will be seen playing the role of an undercover agent in Ribhu Dasgupta's upcoming action thriller. The actor-director duo is currently waiting for the release of the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train. According to reports, the yet-untitled film revolves around a covert rescue operation of Indian agents, led by Chopra’s protagonist. The film will be a multi-starrer featuring actors like Rajit Kapur, Kay Kay Menon, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Hardy Sandhu, among others.
Parineeti Chopra will be playing a strong role in the woman-centric film, to be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. A source close to the development told the news agency PTI, "It is not (set in) an India-Pakistan backdrop. The film has
Parineeti as a covert agent, she is leading the operation. The film is also about her personal journey and her revenge."
The project is scheduled to go on floors in March 2021. It will be produced by Reliance Entertainment. The makers are in the process of scouting locations and getting permissions to shoot amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Last year, Parineeti Chopra shot for Ribhu Dasgupta's The Girl On The Train Hindi remake in London. Set in the UK, the film also stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Kirti Kulhari and Avinash Tiwary. After wrapping up the film, Parineeti took to social media to bid farewell to her character in the film. Calling it a "life changing" experience, Parineeti said that the character will stay with her forever.
