Power Rangers’ Jason David Frank passes away at 49

Jason David Frank, who played the Green Power Ranger Tommy Oliver in Mighty MorphinPower Rangers, has passed away. He was 49. His manager, Justine Hunt, in a statement confirmed the news and asked for the privacy of his family in those times.

She did not confirm or reveal the cause of his death but said, “privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human



being.” His former co-star, Walter Emmanuel Jones, the Black Power Ranger, took to Instagram to express his shock. He wrote, “My heart is sad to have lost another member of our special family.”

Frank practiced martial arts and fought in several mixed martial arts bouts in 2009 and 2010.

For those unaware, Thuy Trang, who played the Yellow Power Ranger in the same show, died in a car accident in 2001 at age 27.
