Actress-producer Priyanka Chopra is all set to make a film on the love life of Rabindranath Tagore.Purple Pebble Pictures (PPP), the production house of Priyanka Chopra and Dr Madhu Chopra’s has forayed into regional cinema last year with three different language films including Bam Bam Bol Raha Hai Kashi (Bhojpuri), Ventilator (Marathi) and Sarvann (Punjabi).
Taking the vision of PPP – ‘to create a platform for great stories to be told’ ahead, the production house has announced their next, Nalini, a period drama based on the world renowned poet, Rabindranath Tagore.

Annapurna Turkhud, a Maharashtrian girl and is set in the 1800s India during freedom movement. The movie is produced by PPP, directed by Ujjwal Chatterjee and written by Sagarika Chatterjee. The casting of the movie is in progress and it is expected to go on floors by October this year,” according to a statement.
Dr Madhu Chopra says, "Purple Pebble Pictures has always been at the forefront of promoting regional films. Being a producer, Priyanka wanted good stories to reach audiences, especially, films with cultural messages. Nalini has a great potential as an entertaining subject and we are happy to associate with it.”
