Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded has been postponed due to technical issues in processing the additional content. Initially scheduled to hit theatres on January 11, the reloaded version will now be released on January 17, after the major Sankranti releases.
The makers shared this development on X with a note that read, “Due to technical delays in processing the content, the reloaded version of Pushpa 2: The Rule is delayed. It will now screen in theaters from 17th January and not from 11th January as planned earlier. Happy Sankranthi everyone. The extended version will be worth the wait with additional whistle-worthy
moments (sic)."
The 20 minutes of added footage is expected to include the much-anticipated Japan sequence, which was teased in the trailer but not included in the original theatrical version. Fans are eager to see how these new scenes will enhance the film's narrative.
While the official reason for the delay has been attributed to technical issues, industry insiders speculate that the decision to postpone might have been a request by the makers of the other big Sankranthi releases, including Ram Charan’s Game Changer, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaj, and Venkatesh Daggubati’s Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.
