Ranbir Kapoor is set to collaborate with Sanjay Leela Bhansali once again, 17 years after his debut film Saawariya. The two have reunited for their next project, Love and War, a romantic drama also starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in lead roles. Speaking at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Ranbir shared his thoughts about returning to a Bhansali set.
Stating that he is ‘extremely excited’ about working in Love and War with his ‘god father’, Ranbir said, “Everything I know about film and acting, is something I learnt from him. For me, working with him again
after 17 years, still feels the same. I am still in awe of him and respect him so much. He (Sanjay) hasn't changed at all. He is extremely hard-working, all he thinks about is his movies, and how to make the character speak. He also wants you to do something different. I am extremely excited now.”
While Ranbir Kapoor has often credited the filmmaker for teaching him lessons on filmmaking, he had even shared how the critically-acclaimed was a strict taskmaster on the set of Saawariya. He had stated how the director would scold and yell at him if he wasn’t satisfied with his performance.
